About the Role

We are seeking a talented and analytical Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Athens. This role focuses on developing and integrating advanced machine learning techniques for anomaly detection, threat intelligence automation, and behavioral analysis. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Python and modern ML frameworks with a deep understanding of cybersecurity operations, data pipelines, and ethical AI practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement machine learning models for anomaly detection using Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Build and maintain data engineering pipelines for large-scale log ingestion, processing, and analysis.
  • Develop automated threat intelligence systems leveraging behavioral analytics and adversarial ML methods.
  • Deploy, monitor, and retrain ML models following MLOps best practices to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts to translate detection needs into data-driven solutions.
  • Integrate AI/ML modules into existing security platforms and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, ethics, and responsible AI principles in all implementations.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to evolving cybersecurity challenges.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in machine learning and cybersecurity applications.
  • Proficiency in Python and major ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience in data engineering for log or telemetry pipelines.
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence, behavioral analysis, and adversarial ML techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy, compliance, and ethical AI practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Fulfilled military service (for male candidates in Greece).
